In recent times, cloud computing has spread out like a raging bush fire. More and more companies have come to the realization of what they are losing out by failing to integrate cloud computing. However, before anyone rushes into the cloud, it would be very important to first ensure that there is a perfect framework laid out, which will enable the cloud to be effective in the organization. This is why this article will go into greater detail about the essentials of cloud computing architecture.

Must have aspects of cloud computing architecture

Must have solid performance engineering: Before enrolling an organization into the cloud, it is very important to have a team of technicians assess your organization’s IT needs, so that they are able to recommend the best framework to accommodate the cloud. This is because cloud computing will only serve you best if it suits your organizations needs, because every organization is unique and what one organization needs may be very different from what another needs. Once you have a solid performance engineering, you will be able to get the best out of your cloud computing.

Must consider the users: One area that most organizations go wrong is installing a cloud computing system without first considering the users. If you are installing; ling an advanced cloud with complicated applications yet the users are not ready for such apps. This will only lead to time wastage and less productivity, because you will be required to train the employees until they have fully adapted to that particular cloud. Furthermore, if the cloud system is meant for sharing confidential files between top company management, the best thing is to have a cloud computing architecture which allows sharing and storage of files, without any compromise to their security. In such a scenario, the architecture should incorporate either a fully private cloud for maximum data security, or a hybrid cloud. In the hybrid, the subscription to a public cloud will give your employees a variety of software and applications, while the private cloud will be used exclusively to share and store confidential files.

It should never be latent: Latency is an aspect that has affected most organizations that have invested in cloud computing. This means that you have a cloud system in place, but you have not fully integrated it into the organization, and therefore plays a second fiddle role. Once you do this, it becomes very difficult to convince some employees to adapt to the cloud; since they will be resistant to change to a new way of doing things. Thus, the cloud system will be latent, and you will never reap the full benefits of cloud computing. With the right cloud computing architecture, you will always have the confidence to fully adopt cloud into your organization and hence avoid latency.

Must ensure that everything is in place before enrolling into cloud computing: the key to an effective cloud computing system is having everything in place right from the on-set. As a matter of fact, security should be the first consideration before even enrolling cloud computing into the organization. This therefore means that a proper security framework should be put in place prior to the cloud, especially if you are operating a private cloud where you are totally responsible for its entire security. Thus, this is the only way to prevent future security breaches, and ensure that your data is secure. Moreover, the best way to prevent future system breakdowns which might lead to loss of data is to ensure that you have the right framework in place even before enrolling into cloud.

Essentials of an effective cloud computing architecture

Should be able to monitor traffic: Whether it is a private cloud or a public cloud, traffic monitoring is very important. If there is a huge amount of traffic, it means that soon the servers will start getting overworked, and inefficiencies will become the norm, which is not something that anyone would desire in their organization’s system. Moreover, overworked servers are always slow, and may result in low productivity in the organization, which may turn out to be very detrimental. The best thing about public clouds, is the fact that they have system administrators who monitor the clouds traffic on a 24/7 basis, and they are thus able to ensure that their clients are getting what they paid for. Additionally, traffic monitoring also enables the system administers to note any time one of the servers has stalled, and they are thus able to rectify the situation earlier, thus managing traffic. If not, the servers will start getting overworked resulting to performance inefficiencies.

Should provide backup servers: The best thing about subscribing to a public cloud is that they have an advanced system which ensures that your files and data are fully protected. This is because most public cloud providers usually have backup servers, such that in case there is a system failure, all the clients’ files and data will be protected.

On the other hand, you can also have backup servers even on a private cloud, but their capacity will be dependent on the size of data you need to back up. Once you have installed backup servers, it will always be easy to retrieve any lost data.

Cloud computing architecture therefore plays a significant role in ensuring that you are perfectly prepared for cloud. In simple terms, it is the basic framework towards a successful cloud computing system.
